The Louisville Artisan's Guild is Kentucky's oldest guild dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in arts and crafts. Members include artists, craftsmen, educators, collectors, students, and others in the Louisville area. The Louisville Artisan's Guild provides a variety of events that members can be a part of including: general membership meetings, an annual juried show, picnics, group tours, studio visits, workshops, craft shows, and a holiday party. In addition, one of the most important contributions of the guild is the Nelle Peterson Scholarship Fund. It is named in honor of the guild's first president and founder. Each year, the guild selects a graduating high school art student to receive a monetary award to promote his/her education in this field. The Louisville Artisan's Guild offers the Louisville community an atmosphere where artists, craftsmen, and interested individuals can meet and grow together.
