Voices of Experience
Costs Are Up ... Sales Are Down, Why?

On the Cover: "Lovers: The King and Queen of Hearts," by Stephanie Blythe, introduces this month's Insight section focus on "Dolls and Miniatures." Blythe's dolls are highly detailed porcelain figures that are finished and costumed using material from the artist's collection of antique lace, fabric, trim and other objects. Blythe, of San Anselmo, Calif., says she creates one doll couple each year based on "famous, infamous or facinating lovers." For more information on her work, visit www.stephanieblythe.com. For more work by other doll and miniature artists, check out this month's issue. Photo by Jerry Anthony Photography, www.jerryanthonyphoto.com.
