Under these guidelines, an organization may submit only one application, which includes:

• A new Access to Artistic Excellence category that combines the previous Artistic Creativity and Preservation and Challenge America: Access to the Arts categories. Application postmark deadlines are March 15 and Aug. 16.

• An expanded Challenge America Fast-Track Review Grants category that now includes support for professional arts programming and program enhancements for arts events. Application postmark deadline: June 1.

• Learning in the Arts for Children and Youth for school-based and community-based projects consistent with national, state, or local arts education standards. Application postmark deadline: June 14.

In addition, all applicants for federal funds must have a Dun and Bradstreet Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. If an organization does not have a DUNS number, it can receive one for free by calling (866) 705-5711.
