  • Feature: Now is the time to prepare for the holiday season

    Your customers may be thinking about lying on the beach, lazy summer picnics and blockbuster movies. But you should be thinking about the holiday buying season and preparing to take advantage of it. Regardless of how you sell crafts, through your gallery, at a wholesale show or direct to the public at a retail event -- now is the time to prepare for the holiday season, which for many, rings up a third of annual revenues.

  • Insight

    The Crafts Report's "Insight" column will focus on marketing for a different medium each month. This new feature, which debuted in our February 1999 issue, will provide marketing tips, interesting statistical and historical facts about each medium, as well as marketing insight from the artists who work within it. The July issue will focus on Spiritual and Religious Crafts.

  • REGIONAL PROFILES

    Each month, we cover what's selling in a different region of the country. We'll explore opportunities for selling work including quality craft shows and galleries. We'll also feature artists from the area, particularly those whose work is strongly identified with their geographic region. This month, we'll explore selling opportunities in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin.
