Meg Branzetti and Vicky Kokolski |
Meg Branzetti and Vicky Kokolski combine metal and fused glass to create one-of-a-kind masks that — while they refer to history and culture — really communicate human emotion. Meg and Vicky are influenced by the everyday — they call upon personal experiences and feelings, not historical art movements, when creating. These self-taught artists’ masterpieces reflect their spiritual energy and emotion. Each mask is a distinct image intended to evoke a myriad of emotions and sensations. Meg and Vicky’s friendship is what solidifies their creative collaboration. Find out more about these artists and their business in our online exclusive.

On the Cover: To mark the start of The Crafts Report’s expanded distribution to 10,000 more retailers, this month’s cover features the inside of Creations Fine Woodworking Gallery. Located in Hockessin, Del., Creations features work from over 200 American artists. Owner John Sherman started the gallery in 1992 with just six artists. Now known as one of the premiere American galleries for wood, Creations has expanded in recent years to offer a variety of work from artists working in glass, ceramics, paper, jewelry and other media. For more information on Creations, visit www.creationsgallery.com.
The foreground of the cover features work from a recent exhibition of “Farm Fresh Furniture” by Brad Smith, of Bradford Woodworking, in Worcester, Pa. Included here is a farm table with “Pitchfork Chairs.” The entire line of Smith’s work is carried by Creations Fine Woodworking. For more on Smith’s work, visit www.bradfordwoodworking.com.
