Promotional Spending Vs. Income

Promotional Spending vs. Income:
Each line in this chart represents a level of promotional spending. For example, the red line represents those respondents who spend between $1,001 and $3,000 on Internet promotion. The significant thing to look at is the peak for each line. The peak represents the online income category where most people with that level of promotional spending fall.

For example, the red line peaks at $1,001-$3,000; this means that more people who spend $1,001-$3,000 make that much back in online income in a year than any other income level. The blue line represents those who spend $0 on Internet promotion. That line peaks at $0, so more people who spend nothing also make nothing than any other income grouping. (The 66 percent of people who spend nothing but make something mentioned in the article comes from adding all the other income categories together.)

The chart shows that as promotional spending increases, the peak moves farther to the right (along the income axis), indicating that more people in increasing spending levels make more money online.
